The month of October saw the launch of the Leinster Rugby Trophy Tour with visits to more than 20 different club, school and council events across the province.

The Leinster Rugby Community Rugby Officers took the opportunity to host tag blitzes with 1,660 children taking part in rugby events across the region.

Club events included tag blitzes in St Mary’s RFC, Suttonians RFC, Coolmine RFC, Westmanstown RFC and a primary school blitz in Clontarf.

The Champions Cup and PRO14 trophies also made their way to Stillorgan-Rathfarnham RFC, Wicklow RFC and Naas RFC, as well as attending several county council events throughout the month.

As well as visiting clubs, the trophies made an appearance at the ‘Who Won the Summer of Sponsorship’ event in Aviva Stadium and Taney Parish School.

The trophies were also at the Light Ball fundraiser in the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road and a Bank of Ireland event in Wexford.

Finally, supporters also got another opportunity to see the silverware at Leinster Rugby’s home games in both the RDS Arena (Leinster v Wasps, 12 October) and Aviva Stadium (Leinster v Munster, 6 October).
