UCD women’s rugby team is a Leinster development league club open to students, staff and graduates of UCD….
We welcome players of all levels of experience from the well- seasoned to those who have never touched a rugby ball prior to joining us. No matter what your ability, there is a place for everybody on the team. We had several players who only started playing rugby when they came to UCD. Michela Este starting playing rugby with us for the first time in college and now she is a member of the Italian women’s team.
While rugby is important to us, so too is the social aspect! Playing rugby in UCD is a great way for players to get to know each other very quickly and come together as a team. We organise multiple events during the year with the highlight being our annual awards night at the end of every season in April/May.
Today we will be recruiting in the Sport’s Expo in UCD so come along and say hello! Training is on every Wednesday at 7pm on the all-weather rugby pitch in UCD. Finally, we are delighted to welcome our new sponsors; MCGrattan’s bar, Baggot Street as our new jersey’s sponsors for the 2013/14 season-hats off to our former member Alina Williams for that one!
