Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural event, Cill Dara Rugby Club will once again be hosting its Under 13’s Cill Dara Tens Tournament on the Sunday of the May Bank Holiday weekend…

The format of the tournament is ten-a-side matches, beginning with a group phase and followed by a knock-out phase through to end-of-day finals. The top two teams in each group at the end of that phase progress to the cup competition with the bottom two qualifying for the plate.

Last year’s exciting event saw Ennis from Co. Clare beat local team Newbridge in the cup final with Clane piping Westmanstown in the plate finale.

At this point, the teams confirmed as competing in the 2014 tournament are CA Orsay Rugby (France), Kituro Rugby (Belgium), Buccaneers (Connacht), Ennis (Munster), Carlow, Newbridge, Clondalkin and the host club, Cill Dara.

With 16 teams as the maximum required for the tournament, only eight spots remain for clubs who wish to enter their U.13 team. Be quick as these few spots will be filled on a first come, first in basis.

Further information and requests for entry in the Cill Dara Tens event on May 4th can be made to Rob Doyle at cilldararfc@gmail.com or 087 9580134.
