If you are looking to get back into rugby after a few years out, you want to play rugby at a more “sociable” standard, or you haven’t played rugby before and are looking to give it a go, Wanderers Rugby Club can give you that opportunity…
The club is just 15 mins drive from City Centre, and easily accessible by road, bus and DART. The club has excellent facilities, including a fully equipped gym.
Re J4/5 Season 2010/2011
The club is fielding a team in Section B of J4 League and Cup this coming season and are looking for further additions to strengthen its squad. The current squad is a mixture of experienced and younger players from all parts of Ireland and abroad.
It is also intended to field a team in the J5 League, which is a development league aimed at novices.
The leagues will commence at the start of October and run through til Feb/March. The J4/5 Cup will start in March.
Re Training/Coaching
J4/5 Squad training will start on Wednesday, 4th August at 7.15pm sharp. Friendly matches will be played in September before the leagues starts in October.
Training will be on Wednesday and either Monday or Friday nights each week and matches are scheduled to be played each Saturday.
ALL players who train will play in games.
Socials
The social side of Rugby is very important and there will be social events planned for the season, with a squad “weekend away” session taking place just before the league starts, a Christmas party and various other “nights out”.
