Leinster Rugby will take on Wasps at Ricoh arena on Saturday 24 January 2015 at 1.00pm. The OLSC has prepared the following travel information for those supporters wishing to head to the game…

Ricoh arena and indeed the Coventry region will be a new rugby destination for many supporters, there are a number of air options from Dublin, the closest being Birmingham. Flights have increased in price since the fixture was announced on Friday afternoon, see below for a number of options.

For those supporters located in London, regular trains run from London Euston to Coventry and are priced from £6 each way (buying two singles), see here

Birmingham

Served by daily direct flights by both Aer Lingus Regional and Ryanair, this airport has a railway station located underneath it where you can take a train to Coventry. The journey time is between 10-20 minutes and rail tickets are priced from £2 each way per person here

East Midlands

Served with flights by Ryanair, this airport is 49 kms from Coventry, you could take a train, rental car or bus to Coventry.

Other Airports

Reach Coventry by train, rental car or bus using one of the following airports that are a little further away.

Manchester – 100 kms
London Luton – 110 kms
Manchester – 160 kms
Bristol – 181 kms

Trains and rental cars

Buy UK rail tickets and avoid any booking and credit card charges via the Virgin Trains or London Midland websites.

For rental cars, check with your airline partner as they often provide discounts, otherwise check out Argus Car Hire

Accommodation

City centre accomodation is still reasonably well priced, for various options see here

Getting to the stadium from the city centre

Free buses operate on match day from the central train station, car parking is also available (it must be pre booked here) as are taxic. Traffic is known to be very busy on match days so take the free bus wherever possible.

Match ticketing

Capacity at the Ricoh arena is 45,000, season ticket holders will be notified in due course of where our away allocation is for the game. The OLSC appreciates that it is tempting to buy directly from Wasps however to ensure the blue is as concentrated as possible in such a large stadium we would ask that supporters wait to buy from our allocation.

OLSC away guide to Coventry

Our away guide in association with Bank of Ireland is already being prepared, it will be released the Tuesday before the game on this website and social media. It will include details of things to see and do in the region as well as the location of of our supporters HQ for the weekend.
