As a coach, your relationship with your players (and theirs with you) will greatly determine the nature of how you coach and how your players respond. Poor quality relationships can consume energy and time, while good quality relationships can energise.
In this webinar, a panel of experts in the fields of sports psychology, coaching and coach development will discuss the importance of the coach-player relationship and how coaches can enhance this relationship, and can encourage players to play their part. Topics will include: Relationship Quality, Reciprocal Communication, Addressing Conflict, Coaching Behaviours and Player Input.
The panel will feature:
Sophia Jowett, PhD – Professor of Psychology at Loughborough University
Ben Bartlett – Senior Coach Developer, The FA
Michael Ayres from St Mary’s University will chair the panel discussion and coaches can enter the debate by submitting questions or comments throughout the session.
