Wicklow Rugby Club is seeking applications for the position of head coach/player coach for the 2015/2016 season.
Based in Ashtown Lane in Wicklow town, Wicklow RFC currently field two adult men’s sides. The first team play in Leinster League Division 1B, finishing fourth in 2015. Our seconds are the current J2 Leinster League Division 1B and South East area champions.
We have an ambitious and talented young group of players who are keen to push on to the next level and win promotion to Division 1A.
We have a comprehensive support structure surrounding the senior men’s teams with a senior rugby co-ordinator, team manager, physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach etc.
We have some of the finest playing facilities in Leinster and a fully equipped gym.
Wicklow RFC is a strong, well-run, community-based, family-oriented club with a hugely successful youths and mini section.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of an IRFU accredited level 1 coaching qualification and demonstrate a proven track record of working with, and developing, both backs and forwards. Ideally we would like a player coach (either a forward or a back) who has played at AIL level or higher. The club will provide coaching pathway, giving further coaching opportunities as the club expands and your career develops.
