Wicklow RFC women’s team are seeking applications for the position of Player Coach/Backs Coach for the 2022/23 season.
Based in Wicklow town (less than 30 mins from Dublin), Wicklow RFC play in the Energia All-Ireland League, the top women’s league in Ireland.
Wicklow have an ambitious and talented young group of players who are keen to push on and establish the club in the AIL and as one of the top women’s teams in the country.
The club also have strong girls teams from minis all the way up to U-18 and have a conveyor belt of exciting talent coming through the ranks.
There is a comprehensive support structure surrounding the women’s team with a women’s rugby co-ordinator, experienced coaching team, team manager, physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coach etc.
Wicklow have some of the finest playing facilities in Leinster and a superb fully equipped and state of the art gym which has just been completed.
Wicklow RFC is a strong, well-run, community-based, family-oriented club with a hugely successful youths and mini section, two senior men’s teams and one of Ireland’s strongest women’s and girls sections.
The club have been very successful in developing some of the best facilities and structures in Irish club rugby.
Working as part of an experienced coaching team, the successful candidate will be a player/coach who has played at AIL level or higher and is a leader, both on and off the pitch.
An IRFU-accredited coaching qualification whilst desirable is not essential and the club will provide a coaching pathway, giving further coaching opportunities as your career develops.
