An exciting day of Youths Rugby in a sun drenched Donnybrook took place earlier this month when three exciting Cup Finals took place on the same day…

Double Success for Boyne RFC:

Boyne Under-15’s capped off a great season by winning the Leinster Under-15 McAuley Cup, becoming the first Boyne youth team to win a Leinster Cup in 12 years by beating Kilkenny in an exciting final.

They were joined by the Boyne Under-19’s as Leinster champions who followed up the 15’s success by winning the Tom D’Arcy Cup following a victory over Wicklow.

The new Cup presented for the Under-19 competition was in memory of the late Tom D’Arcy – a former President of the Branch in 1992/93 – who was closely associated with North Kildare RFC. Tom’s wife Margo was present on the day and presented the Cup to the winners…

Navan RFC achieve success in Under-17 Final:

The heartbreaking league semi final defeat to Gorey was a distant memory when Navan’s finest won the Under-17 Culleton Cup Final with an emphatic win over a brave Kilkenny side.

Gareth Mc Grane was a hat-trick try scorer in the final and to the delight of the Navan supporters Captain Stephen Keelan received the Cup and all 23 panel members were congratulated for their contribution to a wonderful day’s rugby.
