The Documents block allows you to associate ‘Document’ posts to it.
‘Document’ posts exist as a sub-menu under ‘Media’ in WordPress’s left menu, use a document post as berth of either a) a file for download on your site, b) a file for download on a third part site (using the external url link), or c) a link to a third party site (using the external URL link).
This block does two things, one it nicely presents files for download, two by associating important files to document posts, it means those posts can be linked on a number of pages around the site, and if the file within them updates at any point eg. League Rules, or Latest Ticket brochure, then replace the file in the one place, rather than replacing it in three or four different places.
